Owen Coyle-Why He Is The Right Person For Bolton

Bolton fans got their wish last week when Gary Megson was sacked. The former West Brom manager wasn’t favoured by Bolton fans and was constantly jeered throughout his spell at the Reebok. Phil Gartside, Bolton’s chairman hasn’t endeared himself to the fans by appointing and sticking with Megson and was under immence pressure to get the manager that the Bolton fans wanted. That man was Owen Coyle, the Burnley manager. During his time at Turf Moor, he has led the unfashionable side to promotion to the Premier League and a League Cup semi-final.

After a few days of waiting, Coyle signed for the club on Friday after compensation was agreed. Many experts think this is the wrong move for Coyle as they think he was destined for a bigger job. I personally think it is the right move as Burnley have less adequate funds to spend on players and are a smaller club. Bolton will allow him to buy the players that he wants and he said to the Burnley chairman when he signed for them, he said that he would only leave for Celtic or Bolton.

Whether this was the right move at this time, Owen Coyle could help Bolton move upwards and to forget the memories of relegation worries.

It’s certainly a coup for Bolton.

He is a manager destined for bigger and greater things. I’m surprised that he did choose to sign for Bolton. Money offered some temptation I guess.

Either way, good luck, I’m sure Coyle will end up being a good manager for you. Hasn’t done much wrong so far.

Thanks, I hope Coyle will be a great manager for us and hopefully we can go back or near enough to the results we produced under Big Sam. I don’t think money offered him any temptation, otherwise he would of accepted the Celtic job, where he would of got more funds, some better players (McGeady, Brown, Boruc to name a few) and his slary would of been 10 times more. I think he is destined for greater things but at the moment, Bolton is the right place for him.
